How to Edit Videos in VSDC

  1. Record your meetings both on the Cloud and on your PC. Dual recording ensures you have a copy of the recording in case your connection goes down. PC recording first, then Cloud recording second. If you do Cloud recording first, there won’t be any PC or local recording. Both recordings are dissimilar, Make sure both are in Speaker mode.
  2. In Windows Media Player, write down the start time and end time of the segment you want to strip out of the big Zoom file.

3. Click the third button–Import contents and enter the Zoom video file.

4. After loading the video file, it leads to this screen. Input the ending time 0f the video segement you would like to cut. Place it on the lower left corner of the screen where you see eight zeros. The digits stand for HH:MM:SS and last two zeros represent XX/100 of a second. You use these for exacting adustments.

5. Next in the Editor, look for Cutting and Splitting in the Upper Toolbar and then click the down arrow beside the scissors icon and and click Trim end. Go back to the clock and enter the Start time and then go back to the Scissors icon and click Trim start.

Now drag the cut segment in the graph below and drag it to the start.

6. Click Export Project, Change name (Important) then click Export project, Be sure the right parameters are clicked at the top toolbar lke the Web and For Facebook or To MP4 are clicked. There you have your first edited videe segment.

9. Repeat the same for the evaluation. The general evaluation is optional as sometimes there is not much input.

10. To concatenate or put together the videos. Click New project, them import content and input the speech file. Then click Add object in the upper toolbar then click Video then select the Evaluation segment. Then click Export project, change name, then click the Export project button, Voila! You have the edited speech video with its evaluation.
